Along with her duties as an Adjunct Professor of Music, Tammy Spratley is an elementary music teacher at Maple Grove Elementary in the Warrensburg R-6 School District. Her teaching experience includes not only elementary music, but also middle school band, middle school choir and orchestra. From 2024 until 2026, she served as the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Vice President of Early Childhood and Elementary. Mrs. Spratley has presented workshops at Missouri Western State University and the Missouri Choral Directors Association conference, and she has served as Director of the West Central Missouri 5th Grade Honor Choir. She has performed as principal oboe for the Warrensburg Community Band, Marshall Philharmonic, and Sedalia Symphony Orchestras. 

Mrs. Spratley earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree in K-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music at 91导航 in 1993 and a Master of Music degree in oboe from Michigan State University in 1995, studying with Daniel J. Stolper. Supporting her belief that elementary music education provides the foundation for all other music skills, she has earned certification in three levels of Orff Schulwerk, three levels of Kodaly, and has also received training in Eurhythmics. She is a member of OAKE (Organization of American Kodaly Educators), AOSA (American Orff Schulwerk Association) and AES (American Eurhythmics Society) as well as MMEA and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
