Breadcrumb

Students may travel out of the country during break periods, or in special circumstances for a short period of time during the semester. Please submit the following form to receive a travel signature on your I-20.
Please review the following travel tips document if you are traveling outside of the U.S.
If you travel outside of the U.S. and re-enter on or after September 15, 2026, you will be subject to new federal regulations. Your I-94 will no longer display 鈥淒/S鈥 (Duration of Status). Instead, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will assign a fixed Admit Until Date.
We strongly advise against international travel if you have a pending Form I-539 (Extension of Stay) and/or Form I-765 (OPT/STEM OPT) application with USCIS. Departing the U.S. while an application is pending may be considered an abandonment of your request by USCIS/CBP and could result in denied re-entry into the U.S.
