Central Missouri Repertory Presents Children’s Touring Production of ā€˜Alice in Wonderland’

WARRENSBURG, MO – Contributing to a fun, entertaining summer in several communities throughout the 91µ¼ŗ½ region, Central Missouri Repertory Theatre will present ā€œAlice in Wonderlandā€ by Lewis Carroll and adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller throughout the last week of May and in early June.

In this production of ā€œAlice in Wonderland,ā€ which is free and open to the public, all the famous characters are here. Along with Lewis Carroll himself, you'll see  Alice, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and, of course, the Queen of Hearts. True to Carroll's original work, this remarkable adaptation appeals to audiences of any age. Full of adventure and audience participation, ā€œAlice in Wonderlandā€ is a light-hearted romp through childhood imagination, and is great entertainment for the whole family. ā€œAlice in Wonderlandā€ is directed by Mary Trotter, assistant professor of theatre in the Division of Theatre and Dance at 91µ¼ŗ½.

ā€œAlice in Wonderlandā€ will be on tour presenting free public performances at the following times, dates and locations in west-central Missouri: 10 a.m. May 26, The Farris Theatre in Richmond; 2 p.m. May 29, James L. Highlander Theatre on the UCM campus in Warrensburg; 10:30 a.m. May 31, Wonderland Camp, in Rocky Mount, Lake of the Ozarks; 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 1, Legacy Park Amphitheater in Lee’s Summit;  10 a.m. June 2, Carrollton Elementary School;
10 a.m. June 3, Lexington Middle School; and 1:15 p.m. June 3, Henry Elementary School Gymnasium in Clinton.

The company includes: Katie Marshall as Alice and Jace Nielsen as Lewis Carroll/The White Rabbit/Caterpillar/Pigeon/Cheshire Cat/Mad Hatter/Gardener/Queen of Hearts. Ashley Miller-Scully is the Production Manager/Producer for this show, Mallory Griffin is the Public Relations and Social Media Manager, Ansley Walker is Stage Manager, Seth Holt is the Scenic/Props Designer/Technical Director and Hollie Neumann is the Costume/Hair/Makeup Designer.

ā€œAlice in Wonderlandā€ is sponsored through the support of the Wetzel Family Foundation. This season marks the 38th anniversary of CMR bringing live children’s theatre productions to west-central Missouri.
