A Mobile Mule Card (UCM ID) may be required for admission to or participation in various university programs or to use university facilities and services. Unauthorized use of a UCM ID is a serious offense which could lead to the termination of the employee involved.
UCM IDs are issued to all regular benefit eligible employees, both administrative, service and support, and academic. Non-benefit eligible employees and courtesy appointees will be issued a UCM ID at the request of the department. UCM IDs automatically deactivate upon terminating with the university. Employees who retire from the university and who have 10 years of continuous service may be issued a Retired Staff Identification card.
Contact the Mule Post for immediate deactivation of your UCM ID if your phone is broken,
stolen, or lost.

Policy was updated in January 2026 to reflect use of the Mobile Mule Card which replaced physical ids.
