The Office of Sponsored Programs & Research Integrity鈥檚 (OSPRI) Bridge Internal Grants Program provides funding to support faculty, staff, and students in the pursuit of research, scholarship, creative activities, and community outreach projects. These funding opportunities are designed to strengthen capacity and enhance the competitiveness of proposals for external funding.
Departmental approval is required for the Principal Investigator (PI) and all co-Principal investigators (co-PIs) before any Bridge grant application will be considered eligible for review and support.
The Proposal Enhancement Grant (PEG) provides funding for pilot studies, feasibility studies, or the collection of baseline data in support of externally funded grant applications. The PI must be a full-time faculty member. The program provides up to $5,000 per project, determined by need and justification.
Grant Details:
The New and Early-Career Faculty Exploratory Grant provides seed funding to support the research, scholarship, and creative activities of new tenured or tenure-track faculty during their first five years of employment at 91导航. This program is designed to support the development of a robust research and/or scholarly activity portfolio and enhance competitiveness for external funding opportunities. Funding may be used to initiate pilot projects, generate preliminary data, or advance creative and scholarly work that positions faculty for future grant submissions.
The program provides up to $5,000 per project, determined by need and justification. Faculty are eligible to receive funding once through this program.
The GRIT Grant is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of previously submitted extramural grant proposals that received favorable peer review but were not selected for funding. The GRIT Grant provides targeted funding to address reviewer comments and recommendations, refine proposal components, and generate additional data to improve the proposal for resubmission. The program provides up to $5,000, determined by need and justification. Award recipients are expected to resubmit the revised proposal to a federal, state or other external funding. agency during the current or following academic year.
