A new book by a 91导航 professor profiles three prominent United States Supreme Court 鈥渙riginalists鈥� suggesting that in actual practice this approach to legal decision making does not deliver on its promise of being free of personal philosophy and discretion. While originalists have looked to the text and original meaning of the Constitution as a clear and objective approach for jurisprudence, the author notes that these three originalist justices would likely have come to different conclusions on a variety of legal matters if they all served on the same court together.

Dr. Suhansa (Sue) Rodchua, a 91导航 faculty member in the School of Industrial Science and Technology, in March traveled overseas to participate in the Lean Japan Tour. The purpose of her visit was to learn about lean manufacturing implementation and the Toyota Production System within some of Japan鈥檚 leading companies.

Following a review process coordinated by the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, 30 91导航 faculty members were awarded promotions and/or tenure for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Board of Governors was presented a list of these individuals when it met March 23.
